The Gründel takes RAO

Back in July, we took on the Race Across Oregon as a four man relay. Armed with a crack support crew, two Westfalia VW vans and a case of Mexican Coca-cola, the we embarked on the 516 mile, 40,000 foot, non-stop campaign. Nearly 29 hours from the start in Hood River, we rolled into Cooper Spur (via Tygh Valley, Moro, Heppner, Dale, Spray and Maupin). Highlights include temperatures reaching 100 degrees, intermittent radios, knocking U-joints threatening to break, hallucinating bikers, white knuckled drivers and +35mph crosswinds.
